But who is she?
Jordan Allyn is a journalist, playwright, and director. She is currently an MFA candidate at Yale University’s David Geffen School of Drama and a reporter for the New Haven Independent. In her playwriting, she draws on reportage and docudrama traditions. As a journalist, her beats include climate, labor, and politics—all topics that inform her playwriting as well. She has worked with renowned artists including Sheila Callaghan, Larissa FastHorse, Aimee Mann, Connor Ratliff, and Ron Van Lieu. Her reporting can be found in In These Times Magazine, New Haven Independent, and Yakima Herald-Republic. She also has a background in audio producing and won a Webby Award as the Associate Producer for Season 3 of the critically acclaimed podcast Dead Eyes.
